Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her pumped up appearance, offers the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. While growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. I just couldn't get enough out of it. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. The chef gained an understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion of her life, cooking with others.
