BARBARA(Heck) born 1734 in Ballingrane (Republic of Ireland) the daughter of Bastian Ruckle and Margaret Embury. Bastian Ruckle as well as Margaret Embury had a daughter, Barbara (Heck) born 1734. In 1760, she got married to Paul Heck and together they raised seven kids. Four of them lived into adulthood. Most of the time it is the case that the person has been involved in significant events, and shared unique ideas or thoughts which are documented on paper. Barbara Heck has left no notes or correspondence. Her date of marriage, for example, is not supported by any proof. There is no evidence of primary sources through which one can trace her motivations and her actions throughout most of her life. She is still a very important figure for the beginning of Methodism.
